To fund its initial activities, the YFC team
worked hard on the field for winning prize money tournaments and off the field to seek donations by
performing Bhangra (traditional Punjabi folk dance) at the home of
families where a child was born onthe eve of LOHRI(indian festival) and by putting up cycle stands at village fairs . As the word spread, donations form
villagers that had migrated overseas started coming in and donations
from JCT Football Club, Punjab’s historic football team have since
greatly assisted in the annual operations of the club and its
activities.
